Mark Lacey

Mark Lacey graduated in law from University College, London. He taught undergraduates at UCL and was then articled with Allen & Overy, where he qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He worked in the Private Client department at Allen & Overy for five years, specialising in charity law, and is currently charity law consultant for S J Berwin.

Mark’s extensive charity law experience includes:

• charity start-ups and mergers
• advising charity trustees on tax and trading issues
• charity restructuring (including incorporating unincorporated charities)
• trustees’ powers and duties
• drafting grant agreements
• charity litigation
• advising museums and galleries.

Mark is a consultant solicitor to John Byrne & Co.
